Dietary of the recipe
Moroccan mint tea is a low-calorie drink if you control the amount of added sugar. If you use the recommended 100g of sugar, the drink contains around 400 calories in total for the 4 servings. For a lighter version, you can reduce the sugar, or opt for a sugar substitute such as maple syrup, honey or even stevia.
Tips and variations
Don’t they say that in cooking, the secret is in variety? To vary the pleasures, you can try replacing fresh mint with other aromatic herbs.
For example, I like to use lemon verbena. It’s delicious and it’s a bit of a change. In summer, don’t hesitate to serve it iced, it’s refreshing and just as delicious.
Another tip that I like to share is adding a few drops of orange blossom for an even more oriental touch.
